Case Study: Royal Mail - Manned Guarding
The Challenge
Royal Mail Group were reviewing the 24/7 manned guarding and key holding service at their Chesterfield sites and approached preferred supplier, Romec to come up with a solution to enable secure closure of the buildings overnight and at weekends.
The Solution
Romec, together with their preferred security partner, CIS, provided the solution - manned guarding during opening hours and a robust lock and unlock service. This included a key holding service to ensure a 24/7 response, supported by our NSI Gold Accredited Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) who monitors both intruder and fire alarms on site.
This solution was achieved through a detailed planning process, working closely with Royal Mail Group, assessing and advising on the buildings, external customers within the buildings and the area surrounding the buildings location. From this, bespoke procedures and processes were built and were regularly reviewed to ensure they were robust.
The Results
The result has been a seamless service to the customer, producing cost savings. Romec's successful relationship and in-depth knowledge of Royal Mail Group was the driving force behind the success of this delivery and has provided security assurance and a cost effective solution.
