School Monitor Role For Romec

As part of a 30-year PFI with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council Romec is to provide installation, maintenance and monitoring for security and fire systems at schools throughout the district.

Working in combination with sister company Haden Building Management the contract relates to 11 primary schools and 9 secondary schools involving brand new buildings and refurbishment of existing units.

Monitoring via CCTV, intruder alarms and fire identification equipment, will take place through Romec's National Alarm Receiving Centre.

Romec Business Development Manager John Fraser said: "This is the sort of project for which Romec is eminently qualified, where our own directly employed engineers, technicians and support staff are able to efficiently co-ordinate the installation, maintenance and monitoring of security and fire watch systems across numerous and diverse sites."
