Romec Makes a Dream Come True
Nationwide facilities services company, Romec, has made a young boy’s dreams come true by donating a post box to eight-year-old Gareth Scott, who is severely autistic.
Gareth loves post boxes so much so that he hugs them, plays games with them and goes on trips with his mum to visit post boxes in the local area.
Romec got involved with Gareth and his mother, Denise, when she wrote to Royal Mail to see if she could buy a post box for Gareth to have at home. The request was passed on to Romec who supply post boxes and a range of other materials handling equipment, as well as mainstream facilities services such as building engineering services, electronic security and cleaning.
We received a letter from Gareth’s mum and were in a position to make his dreams true, said Romec Divisional Director, Paul Carr. Our manufacturing team in Newcastle set to work adapting a box for Gareth which we delivered to his house just before Christmas.
