Case Study: Royal Mail - NetSec Signalling
The Challenge
Royal Mail Group challenged Romec to reduce remote alarm monitoring costs whilst retaining the levels of security required for each site.
The Solution
Romec piloted the NetSec solution, utilising the latest in communication technology to deliver a dual path signalling system, replacing the traditional BT Redcare offering. In addition, remote engineering and diagnostics means that Romec can minimise engineering visits and customer disruption by diagnosing faults and in the majority of cases, fix remotely.
The Results
After successful trials, Romec have begun to administer a rollout to upgrade existing Redcare systems. This enhanced levels of security and reduced operating costs by over 40%. Furthermore, Romec's remote engineering desk provides Royal Mail Group additional cost savings in reactive maintenance visits.
