The Challenge
Plane Handling is one of the largest and most respected ground and cargo handling companies in the United Kingdom. Since 1987 it has provided a service that has attracted over 20 of the world’s top international airlines and is responsible for nearly 20% of passenger and cargo traffic through Heathrow Airport. In an environment where security is all-important, it was vital to provide the best possible service to Plane Handling at both Heathrow and Manchester.
Plane Handling contacted Romec to undertake maintenance of the intruder system at their Manchester Airport site.
The Solution
We re-cabled some areas of the facility and upgraded the panel system after a detailed consultation had been conducted. This meant that the site could be remotely monitored by Romec’s Alarm Receiving Centre, without disrupting service to the site.
The customer was so pleased with this service, we were asked to look at Plane Handling’s other sites at Heathrow Freight Terminals and recommended to other related companies.
