Romec wins building services maintenance contract for Salvation Army in west Scotland
Facilities management company Romec has won the building services maintenance (BSM) contract for the Salvation Army in the West of Scotland.
The contract is for 130 commercial properties covering its churches, charity shops and social care centres and will provide for statutory testing and the inspection of gas equipment along with remedial work.
Romec will also provide a 24/7 corrective and emergency cover, and it comes on the back of it providing a high level of emergency cover last winter.
Derek Johnson, Romec Director of Engineering Services, said: “Being awarded this contract is testament to the hard work our engineers provided over the really harsh winter, when they provided emergency cover for the Salvation Army across West Scotland.
“Being the second largest provider of social services in the UK, after the Government, it was really important that they were able to continue with their good work to ensure that those they care for are looked after to a really high standard.”
